Monday, May 4th: In class today, we finished the packet for ch's 11 - 15. Your homework tonight is to make a timeline of events from 1765 - 1775 that includes every date that is in your notes packet.

Wednesday, April 29th: Read the article in the UpFront about the Supreme Court's decisions this "docket" season.
Tuesday, April 28th: Do the word bank for the Some Detective Work in the notes packet. We'll be watching more of "Join or Die" in John Adams.
Monday, April 27th: Complete the notes for chapter 13 in the salmon packet.
Thursday, April 23rd: Complete the notes for chapter 11 in the salmon colored packet.

Monday, March 30th: Make sure your green notes packet is complete, and finish your MAP of the French and Indian War. We will review tomorrow, for the test on Wednesday, which will cover chapters 1-7 and 10 in Colonies to Country and pgs. 140-144 in America.
Wednesday, Jan. 28th: Start studying for the Colonial Regions Quiz this Friday! Be able to generalize about each region's climate, economy, population, education, religion, and government. New England, Middle Colonies and the Southern Colonies are the 3 regions you should study.
Tuesday, January 27th: Read "Great Expectations" in the UpFront magazine ( issue: Jan.12), highlight key words and ideas, make an outline, write a summary paragraph. Your paragraph must include a topic sentence, paraphrasing with facts from the article, and a clincher.
Wednesday, Jan. 14th: No homework IF you're finished with your poster and paper.

Tuesday, January 13th
due today: Poster for Colony Project. 2 pg. research paper on your colony. Presentations tomorrow.
Monday, Dec. 9th: Make an outline of chapter 17: Roger Williams. There will be a DYR tomorrow. You may use your notes.
Wednesday, Nov. 19th: at the bottom of this page, scroll down and add a comment. Write at least one or two qquestions that you may have for our guest speker, Jim Denton. Jim has spent the last 17 years of his life immersed in the research of the true story of the Pilgrims.
Monday, Nov. 17th: Make an outline of chapter 14 in your text book, using the regular format, like on ch. 13 notes, or using Mr. R's way of stars, bars, and dots.

Monday, November 3: Finish reading the UpFront article that we started in class. On your note table, with Obama on the left, and McCain on the right, bullet list one stance on each issue for each candidate. More is better, but one will suffice. If you have time, go to each of their websites, and find out something you didn't know about each of the candidate's education.

Friday night 9/26: Watch the presidential debate. It starts at 7:00 p.m. If you can do this, take notes on what each candidate's plan is for these issues: health care, taxes, education, and an issue of your own choosing.
Monday night: Read Chapter 4 in Making 13 Colonies, "English Settlers Come to Stay". Take notes on post-its to use on the DYR quiz tomorrow.
Mimimum Requirements for Timeline: 3 personal events, one social, one economic, one political event. Color coded. Explanations about HOW the social event IS a social event (same for economic and political). Captions for all events. Photos or symbols or drawings for each event. Years labeled for all events. Starting with your birthdate...ending with this year.
Homework: Monday, 9/15: Read the Preface in Making 13 Colonies.
